Over the last two years the Dominican Republic Real Estate market has suffered, as with all Caribbean destinations.

 

However, this island, in particular the North Coast, which includes the popular towns of Sosúa and Cabarete, has found it easier to come back.

Naturally markets move on and plenty of deals are available now with many people reconsidering their options and lowering prices to attract buyers.

 

Investors are finding that the year round holiday market has pinpointed the north coast as a great pull for water-sport enthusiasts, and offer the investor good returns on beachfront condos, with a year round rental potential.

 

New high specification build in the newest of condos add sophistication to an area of natural beauty which in the past has suffered a little in condo and home design.

 

Older character properties offer good pricing and a wealth of new finishes available for those happy to look for a refurbishment project.

 

Nowadays owner financing and guaranteed rental return is becoming available throughout villa and condo listings with an area which covers both the coastal and hillsides homes.

 

West Indies Real Estate works hand in hand with all the major developers in the area and can see a steady increase in the return to building on site of new communities, which had slowed down over the last two years.

 

Frontline developments such as Harmony, Millennium and Watermark have completed over the last few months, with new developments such as Gran Cabanna and Novus Mare now being in the final stages.

 

The future looks very bright for this part of the World and with a stable Government keen to encourage foreign investment and new homeowners, the Dominican Republic will continue with its continued growth.
